If you stand close enough to the crashing waves you’ll feel the misty spray. This painting is simple in its message but nothing is simple about it’s completion. This is academic painting 101. It is a perfect mix idea and execution, highlighting the intentional layering approach I’ve always used. Thin layers of paint applied with specific intentions and at specific times have allowed this painting to come to life and appear as though there is an actual spray coming off of the wave. Look closely and you might just feel that spray through the screen! Measuring 30”X30” and framed in a sold wood, white finish, the outer dimensions are 32”X32”.
